1950 articulated french table lamp made by JUMO streamline design

Rare JUMO table lamp model Compta, French design from the 50’s / 60’s.

The company JUMO (contraction of the first two letters of the 3 creators Yves JUjeau and Pierre and André MOunique) was created in 1940. It mainly produced high quality lighting until the 80s inspired by the Art Deco period.

This rare model “Compta” has a double articulation as well as a swiveling shade allowing a 360 ° orientation of the light. Its base is heavy and thus allows perfect stability to change the orientation of the lighting without moving the lamp. In water green lacquered steel, with a folded aluminum shade with chrome sides in a typical “streamline” shape, inspired by aerodynamic and drop shapes. We find the ribbed design on the stem of the light which also allowwes a good grip.

Original model and in good condition for its age.

Two standard E14 bulb holders, in brass and ceramic, LED compatible. 5kgs.
