Robj Paris Art Deco Tea or Coffee Set Cream and Gold Earthenware

1930’s earthenware tea or coffee service, signed Robj Paris, imported from Luxembourg.

It was produced by Villeroy & Boch in Luxembourg.

Robj, founded in 1908 by Jean Born, was taken over by Lucien Willemetz in 1922. It was he who gave Robj its style by surrounding himself with sculptors, modellers and fire technicians.

He instituted an annual competition to recruit talent until 1931.

Service comprising a large teapot, a milk jug and two cups and saucers.

Elegance, modernity and originality are the hallmarks of the company’s creations.

This is a rare, beautiful cream and gold set.
